Taco Tuesday with a side of media insight!

Join PRSA Miami on Tuesday, June 3 at COYO Taco Coral Gables for a happy hour panel featuring some of Miami’s most influential food and hospitality writers. They’ll share the latest industry trends, tips on how to work with freelancers, and insights into food + media in Miami.

Ellen Kanner is the author of Miami Vegan: Plant-Based Recipes from the Tropics to Your Table and the award-winning book Feeding the Hungry Ghost: Life, Faith and What to Eat for Dinner. She writes about the intersection of food, culture, community, wellness, and sustainability for outlets including HuffPost, VegNews, and Edible South Florida. She’s a vegan advocate and culinary instructor, recipe developer for major brands, and the creator of  the Substack newsletter Broccoli Rising https://ellenkanner.substack.com/. A fifth generation Miami native, she lives with her husband in — where else? — Miami.


Sara Liss is a Miami-based food and travel writer. Well traveled and trilingual in English, Hebrew, and Farsi, Liss started her career in journalism in the Middle East, where she was a reporter for the Associated Press's Jerusalem bureau and Time Out Istanbul. She moved to South Florida in 2003 and has contributed to a wide range of publications including Condé Nast Traveler, The Miami Herald, Fodor's Travel, Michelin Guide and MIAMI Modern Luxury. Her first cookbook, Miami Cooks, featuring recipes from the city's best restaurants, was released in the fall of 2020. She is the co-founder of Saffron Supper Club, a Middle-Eastern dining experience and organizes community events in her town of Surfside with her company Friday Beach.
